Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

8.00 am: Our driver and tour guide come to pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart to Hoa Binh, on the way our customers can stop at some beautiful attraction points to take the pictures, we also stop at a local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority to learn about their daily life and customs; enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thung Khe Pass.

At noontime we arrive in Mai Chau – Lac Village checks in our homestay/ hotel. After that, we will enjoy lunch in the local village/ restaurant

After lunch and a short break, we will take a bicycle ride with our tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves to learn about weaving in the traditional way, we can practice and buy the products after that we continue to cycle around peaceful villages.

Free at leisure for walking, shopping around before having dinner (optional to have dinner & watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can”.

Overnight in the rural village/ hotel.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Pu Luong (B, L, D)

AM: After breakfast, we depart to Pu Luong via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley, walking around and explore the beautiful landscape before having lunch.

PM: We start to descend into the beautiful valley where you walk around tumbling rice terraces. Trek through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal a picturesque village sitting at the base of a towering mountain. Your camera will not be able to sit still!

Continuing to the base of the valley, you weave between roads and farmland, villages and wild fields, ponds and rivers, mountains and open land. Savor the ever-changing scenery as you trek to a beautiful spot. Then you will be transferred back to your homestay/ retreat for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Pu Luong – Cuc Phuong National Park (B, L)

After breakfast, we drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, have lunch.

In the afternoon; We visit the Cave of Early Man (had over 7000 years), on the way admire the primary forest with the 1000-year-Old Tree.

Day 4: Cuc Phuong National Park – Tam Coc, Bich Dong & Thung Nham (B, L)

After breakfast, we visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. then drive to Ninh Binh, arrival in Tam Coc, we board a small boat to visit Tam Coc which means literally: “Three Caves”. With Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies, and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all.

Lunch at the restaurant

In the afternoon, we visit Bich Dong Pagoda

Next spot is the Thung Nham resort, you will surprise with a myriad of flowers blooming from the gates of the Valley. Here we visit the Bird Valley, will find really amazing how the heart of the city of Hoa Lu Town has 1 so peaceful valley like this, with numerous species of birds: egret, cranes and many more.

Come back to the hotel for relaxing.

Day 5: Ninh Binh – Halong Bay on a cruise (B, L, D)

After breakfast we depart to Halong Bay, arriving around 12.00 noon.

At the port of Halong, our crew will welcome you onboard to enjoy a welcome drink and check into your cabin. A seafood lunch will be served and at 13.00 a 3.5 hour cruise in Halong Bay will begin, visiting the amazing limestone karsts including the Mat Qui (monster’s face), But Moc, and Cap De islets; the Trong (Drum) and Trinh Nu caves, and the unique way of life in a floating fishing village, ending with the chance to explore the Luon cave from 16.40 to 17.30.

There will be plenty of time for swimming and sunbathing as well as enjoying a great sunset dinner and relaxing under the starlit sky before retiring to the comfort of your cabin. (Most cruise itineraries are similar, exact cruise name and itinerary shall be reconfirmed according to your choice).

Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)

Early risers can enjoy the serene morning view of the Bay's landscapes with a cup of tea or coffee and fresh fruit. From the upper deck of the boat, the beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear waters of the bay is breathtaking. The quiet is almost eerie; the birds singing and cicadas chirping onshore, along with the gentle lapping of the waves against the boat, provide the perfect soundtrack to accompany the sense of calm and the fresh, gentle breezes.

Explore the Sung Sot (Amazing) cave from 8.00 to 9.00 then swim and relax at Titop beach. A brunch buffet will be served on the return cruise from 10.30 to 11.30, arriving back at the harbor by noon for the drive back to Hanoi.

Arrive Hanoi around 4.00 pm, you will be transferred to the airport for your next destination or back home.
