Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (N/A)
Upon your arrival at Hanoi International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private tour guide and driver & be transferred to the city center for hotel check-in. Free time for the rest of the day. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi (B, L)
Today, we will visit Ninh Binh Hoa Lu Ancient Capital of Vietnam and Tam Coc Tour.
08.00 – 08.30: Guide and driver will pick you up from Hanoi’s Old Quarter, you will set out the day trip from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. It takes around 2.5 hours through the lush countryside to reach Hoa Lu.
The first place we will visit today is Hoa Lu - The Ancient Capital remaining two temples dedicated to King Dinh & King Le. Then, proceed to Tam Coc caves (16km from Hoa Lu) where you will have a lavish buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will join in Tam Coc Tour with sampan boat visiting Tam Coc caves which is well-known as “Halong Bay on land”. The 90-minute boat ride offers you endless photo opportunities. When you return to the dock, take a short break before cycling for approximately 45 minutes along the country lane to enjoy the beautiful scenery of lush paddy fields and discover the real countryside of Vietnam. That will be a good chance for you to learn more about local life.
Afterward, you get on the car to come back Hanoi. The full-day tour concludes with drop-off at your Hanoi hotel. You will have free time in Hanoi for an overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruising (B, L, D)
09.00 – 09.30: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and we transfer to Got Harbor.
12.00 – 12.30: Arrive at the pier, embark the Cruise to begin the Halong Bay trip.
13.15: While cruising the magnificent Halong Bay, you will enjoy a delicious lunch.
15.30: We head to Dark and Bright Caves and take a local sampan boat through the cave. Here you can do kayaking or swimming in the crystal clear water of the mountain-walled lake.
17.00: Return to Cruise and enjoy an afternoon tea break while watching the beautiful sunset.
19.00: Savor a fantastic dinner in the restaurant.
20.00: Free time on your own. Have some drinks at the bar as the HAPPY HOUR promotion begins or join the cruise members to do squid fishing.
Day 4: Halong Bay Cruising – Hanoi (B, L)
06.00: Rise early for a Tai Chi session on the sundeck or watch the magnificent sunrise in the Bay.
07.00: Head to the dining room for a light breakfast and begin a new day in Halong Bay.
08.00: The Cruise sets sail to Tra Bau Area – a fishing village. Do kayaking or swimming peacefully here is a perfect choice since there are not many boats in this area. Otherwise, you can talk with the locals to get to know about their daily routines and their life here.
10.00: Return to the Cruise, you will engage in a cooking class led by our talented chefs and learn how to make Vietnamese spring rolls.
12.00: We set sail back to the harbor and disembark. The car/van will be waiting for you and take you back to Hanoi. You will arrive in the mid-afternoon.
You will then have free time before an overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi – Departure (B)
Have free time for the last minute shopping in Hanoi, or you may visit the different key sites of Hanoi in your free time, then transfer to Hanoi airport for your onward flight. We finish our North Vietnam 5 Day Tour.
